I have a thing for Pavlova

I'm actually blogging on Tuesday which is rare for me because I usually do it on the weekends. But today is an exception because it's a public holiday! Wishing all the Hindus a Happy Deepavali!

So what have I been up to since morning? Hmm, let me see. Woke up quite late, cleaned the house and my room, well, just my closet, and now updating my resume + watching Suits + blogging. Now that's what I call multitasking! lol...There's a job opening at "somewhere" so I'm just trying out my luck. Get it or not, that's another story.

On the other hand, I'll be flying off to Lombok, Indonesia exactly in 8 days! That is if the flight is not cancel due to the volcano eruption. I hope not because 1. I've been looking forward for this trip for months. 2. If its cancel, I don't think I'll get refund for the hotels and I'll be devastated. Money doesn't grow on trees! So, yeah...

Now, I was scrolling through my photos and I didn't realized that I took quite a lot of photos of my pavlova. Yes, more than my selfies. Haha...Yes, pavlova has become my favorite dessert since I had my first taste a year ago. At first I ordered from a few people that I found online who sells pavlova. It was a hassle because I've to drive all the way to Putrajaya and paid RM70 for a cake. It was quite expensive for me at the time. So I figured why not I learn how to make one and I can eat it every day! I mean I like to bake. I can make cheesecake and butter cake. For sure I can make a pavlova. And so I did.

The first thing I did was google the ingredients that needed to make a pavlova.. To my surprised, the ingredients are actually really easy to get. Eggs, sugar, cornstarch and vanilla essence. I watched a few videos on YouTube and I thought hey, that looks easy! But it wasn't. I failed the first 10 times, wasted like 30 eggs! But then, I wasn't about to give up yet even though my mum has been rambling me about the eggs and electricity that I've been wasting. I get it. Sorry mum...lol

But guess what? She's now a fan of pavlova too! I finally found the perfect recipe by combining the techniques from different videos/recipes that I've watched/read. But now,  I'm not gonna post about the process of making one, just a few photos because I'm craving for one right now!

This was the first one that I did right after the 10th attempts!:)

And then, I've also learned to make mini pavlovas and chocolate pavlovas!

I'm gonna share with you guys the links that I find really good! See them for yourself and your welcome! :D

2. Joy of baking
